This remains one of my go-to inspirational pep talks. Like any creative, I go through long stretches of feeling like I don’t measure up, occasionally punctuated by moments of “Oh, that’s pretty good actually!”. (These tend to mark the next plateau of self-perceived mediocrity.) I’ve been doing photography for close to ten years and just now feel like I’m doing anything worthwhile. I’ve been writing for my personal blog off and on, and for Denizen, for….six months? Eight? I realize this whole project will possibly be embarrassing to me just a few short years from now, but the only way I’m going to get where I want to go is to start.
